🌑 The New Moon & Spring Equinox — Nature’s True New Year

Snowdrop flowers emerging in early spring with the words “Happy Lunar New Year,” symbolizing the Spring Equinox and nature’s true new beginning.

Dear Reader,

Every year, there is a moment that quietly marks the beginning of something new.

Not the calendar year.
Not the school year.

But a natural reset that humans have followed for thousands of years. The New Moon in Pisces.

In the philosophy of Wild Moon Healers®, this moment represents something powerful:

A new lunar year.
A new cycle of becoming.
And an opportunity to realign the rhythm of your body, mind, and soul.

I’ve definitely been feeling the last wave of eclipse and retrograde energy. I even had to take a mental health day after the last full moon. This kind of energy can shake things up — but that’s often the point.

The time to create is coming.

But before we create something new, we need room for it.

That means releasing what no longer serves us.

And that’s exactly what this energy has been doing… preparing us.

Why Spring Feels Different

Many people struggle to change their lives on January 1 and assume they are the problem.

But winter is naturally a season of rest, reflection, and restoration, not a reset button. The energy to support big change simply isn’t there yet.

Spring carries a completely different energy.

Light returns.
Plants begin to grow.
Energy rises again.

This is why many ancient traditions viewed spring as the true beginning of the year.

Nature reminds us that, ready or not, this is the moment when life begins to rise again.

The New Moon in Pisces aligns that rising energy with a fresh lunar cycle. It’s a natural invitation to begin again.

Three Questions for the New Moon

You don't need elaborate rituals.

Just a moment of awareness.

Place one hand on your heart and one on your stomach, and ask yourself:

  • What part of my life is asking for a new beginning?
  • What beliefs no longer support who I'm becoming?
  • What intention will guide this next cycle?

Then take three slow breaths.

Listen. Your body often knows before your mind does.

But this New Moon also marks the beginning of a new lunar year.

So dream big.

Create a resolution for what you want to bring into your life over the next twelve months, the next four seasons. Map it out quarterly. Then begin with this New Moon, moving toward your goals one lunar cycle at a time.

As this new lunar year begins, my own intention is simple:

To move forward with courage, even when the path is still unfolding.

What intention are you carrying into this next cycle?

If this message resonates with you, reply and share your intention.

Allow me to witness what you are beginning. Being witnessed often gives our intentions a little more strength to carry them forward.
